Old St. Anthony's comes down, making way for a new church building

It was 1973, and the parish of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Elmendorf was celebrating the building of a new church. The parish was established in Graytown in 1854, a mission of St. James Church, which later was named Our Lady of Guadalupe. St. Anthony flourished, eventually becoming the primary parish, with the neighboring churches being mission churches.
