Decked out for the Peanut Festival

Floresville Middle School Coach Armando Jasso reaches for peanut plants handed up by his team members as they decorate the façade of Mrs. Annie’s Peanut Patch in downtown Floresville, preparing the city to welcome everyone to the 81st annual Floresville Peanut Festival, set for Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 9-11. For everything about the festival, look for the “Goober Gazette” — free inside this issue of the Wilson County News — and be sure to count the peanuts and enter our contest for a chance to win some great prizes!
