Don't rely on ballot language; do the research before voting

In only five weeks, Texas voters will have the opportunity to accept or reject 17 amendments to the Texas Constitution. I didn’t want to take a chance on trying to figure out the intent of each of these proposals based on ballot language (not recommended). As we have experienced, ballot language is frequently evasive, confusing, deceiving and often intended to achieve a different outcome. So much for plain language.
