Dont just 'feel' when you vote; think!

Editor: Re: “One Opinion: Amendment confusion” and “Don’t rely on ballot language,” Oct. 8 Wilson County News. We do have to be wary of something that “sounds” good, but may actually not only be bad for our pocketbooks, but also be completely unnecessary. We have to read these amendments carefully and actually think about what they mean. For example, take Amendment 14, Dementia. Wow! Sounds great! Who doesn’t want to fight dementia? But is Amendment 14 the way to do it? Is a state program really necessary? Is a new taxpayer-funded government entity the best way to address this important...
