False narrative

Editor: A false narrative has been circulating stating that to get great teachers, FISD needs to go to a four-day work week. This flies in the face of common sense. A great teacher is a teacher dedicated to teaching their students appropriate subject matter to the best of their ability while, at the same time, exhibiting positive appropriate adult behavior and being great role models. A teacher dedicated to provide all students with a three-day weekend is not a great teacher, in my opinion.
