Corrections: The property-tax rate of [post_excerpt].0746 adopted by the Nixon-Smiley Consolidated Independent School District is a decrease from the prior, 2024- 25 tax rate, and not an increase as stated in the Oct. 15 article, “Nixon-Smiley CISD voters to decide on tax rate proposal.” If voters approve the ballot measure, the district will raise more in revenue for maintenance and operations than the prior rate.
