Ferman Chavez sentenced to 99 years without parole

Ferman Chavez of Floresville has received a sentence of 99 years, which must be served day-for-day without a possibility of parole. The sentence was handed down Oct. 16 by 81st Judicial District Judge Jennifer Dillingham, following a bench trial in which she found Chavez guilty of continuous sexual assault of a child under 14 years of age. District Attorney Audrey Louis said Chavez’s conviction resulted from an investigation led by the Floresville Police Department, with particular recognition to former Investigator Perry Hayden.
