Altercation at football game prompts UIL investigation

An altercation between two football players at a junior varsity game between La Vernia and A.C. Jones High School in Beeville has the districts and the University Interscholastic League (UIL) investigating the incident. La Vernia’s junior varsity team traveled to Beeville Oct. 23 for the matchup. During the game, a La Vernia player tackled a Beeville athlete during the course of play.
