Renewing subscription and acquaintance

Wilson County News reporter Greg Ripps and Wilson County resident Bill Dubel “catch up” Oct. 2, after Dubel visited the newspaper office to renew his subscription. These two former Texas Air National Guardsmen served in the 149th Fighter Wing at the same time for about 20 years before retiring from the unit. The two had not seen each other for about 15 years — although Dubel said he reads Ripps’ articles in the newspaper.
