Three-vehicle crash kills La Vernia woman
A La Vernia woman has died, following a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 87. Donna Walpole, 66, was driving a white 2018 Chevrolet Spark on Oct. 28 around 9:30 a.m., headed northwest on U.S. 87 just south of La Vernia near Thompson Lane and Kelsey Parkway, when a black 2012 Ford F-150 pickup truck traveling southeast entered Walpole’s lane, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Highway Patrol.
