La Vernia police arrest suspect in stabbing

La Vernia police have arrested a local woman after following a blood trail leading to her apartment. Officers with the La Vernia Police Department were dispatched Oct. 20 to a convenience store in the 12000 block of U.S. 87 W. for a possible stabbing after an unconscious man was discovered there, bleeding from the neck. First responders identified the victim as James Hernandez, 39, of La Vernia.
