Stockdale Brahmas edge out Nixon-Smiley Mustangs in thriller, 42-30

The Stockdale Brahmas battled the Nixon-Smiley Mustangs in a District slugfest on Friday, Nov. 7, at Bobby Russell Field in Stockdale. The Mustangs received the opening kickoff and quickly scored, taking an early 7-0 lead. After the Brahmas’ first possession abruptly ended, the Mustangs had the ball deep in Brahma territory. Brahma sophomore Caysen Lopez ripped through the offensive lineman and sacked the Mustangs’ quarterback, which resulted in a safety.
