Floresville veteran gets a new roof

U.S. Army Veteran Ronald Baker observes the work on a new roof for his mobile home in the 4100 block of C.R. 331 in Floresville Nov. 7 by Texas Roofing. After another roofer failed to complete the job after taking his money, Baker was approved as a recipient for a complete roof replacement through the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project, in partnership with Purple Heart Homes. The Owens Corning Foundation donated the roofing materials, and Texas Roofing, based in Floresville, donated the labor. Look for more about this story in the Nov. 19 Wilson County News.
