Students can apply for Government-in-Action Youth Tour to Washington, D.C.

GVEC invites local high school sophomores and juniors to apply for the 2026 Government-in-Action Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. The guided trip, which takes place June 14–21, 2026, is a youth leadership program organized by Texas Electric Cooperatives and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. Applications are now being accepted for the free program, which includes all travel, lodging, meals, and attractions. Chosen applicants will also receive a ,500 scholarship reserved for their senior year, to be used toward the college or trade school of their choice.
