Contractor helps Floresville vet get a new roof

“It was a godsend,” resident Ronald Baker said about the new roof on his Floresville home. The U.S. Army veteran is a recent recipient of a complete roof replacement through the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project, in partnership with Purple Heart Homes. After “11 years, 11 months, and 29 days” of active duty in the U.S. Army and another 16 years of civil service, Baker was “medically boarded,” due to a broken back, and retired to Floresville.
