Former Runge teacher charged with improper relationship

A teacher formerly employed by the Runge Independent School District (ISD) has been arrested and charged with having an improper relationship with a student. The Karnes County Sheriff’s Office arrested Andrea Melba Rodriguez, after receiving information Nov. 7 and investigating the allegations; the investigation reportedly uncovered digital evidence confirming the relationship. Rodriguez may face additional charges of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, after investigators discovered evidence that she tried to destroy or alter case-related materials.
