County lifts burn ban

A burn ban ordered by Wilson County commissioners on Aug. 25 will be allowed to expire at midnight Monday, Nov. 24. The ban was on the court’s Nov. 24 agenda. Upon Wilson County Fire Marshal Carl Fowner’s recommendation, the ban will be reconsidered at the next commissioners court meeting on Monday, Dec. 8. According to Emergency Operations Center Public Information Officer Wendy Grant, no permit is required, but a notification is requested.
