Congratulations to Tommy Detamore of Floresville, named the Steel Guitar Player of the Year Nov. 9 at the 2025 Texas Country Music Awards! A pedal steel guitarist with “Jake Hooker & the Outsiders,” Detamore — pictured here with his wife, Sandy — is the owner of Cherry Ridge Studios; he is an acclaimed engineer, producer, and musician, who was named Record Producer of the Year in 2008 by the Academy of Western Artists.
