Wilson County Fire Marshal: No burning today, due to wind gusts

Due to high winds, no outdoor burning is permitted today, Nov. 26, in Wilson County.     According to Wilson County Fire Marshal Carl Fowner, any burning of brush, agricultural waste, or other materials will be subject to being extinguished as long as wind gusts prevent safe burning conditions.     A burn ban, established in August by the Wilson County Commissioners Court, expired Nov. 24, after some parts of the county received substantial rainfall recently.     However, while the windy conditions continue, permission to burn is suspended.     Community members are urged to call 911 to report fires or outdoor burning...
