La Vernia Grizzlies Cheer team heads to globals

La Vernia Grizzlies Cheer Teams competed at the Texas Youth Football & Cheer Association Cheer competition in Corpus Christi on Nov. 1. Both teams, the 5-8 year-olds and the 8-12 year-olds, have been practicing their competition routines since the beginning of August along with cheering on the sidelines at all the La Vernia Grizzlies football games. The 8-12 year-old team took first in the Sideline Performance Level 1 Division 11, which gives them an invitation to compete in New Jersey in February at Youth Cheer & Dance Alliance Globals.
