Pipeline leaks gas in downtown Floresville

The city of Floresville advised people in the downtown area Thursday of a damaged gas pipeline at the corner of Fourth and A streets. After a work crew of a contractor with CenterPoint Energy clipped the a cap on the gas line  at around  10 a.m., the crew dug through the pavement to access the pipeline and replace the cap under the utility’s supervision. Floresville Public Works Director David Inouye estimated that the work would be completed between 3-4 p.m.
