Nixon-Smiley Mustangs earn third-place finish

The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs finished their play at the Moulton Katz Klassic Tournament this past weekend with a 2-2 record, securing third place among a competitive field. The tournament offered valuable early-season experience as the Mustangs faced off against several talented teams. Nixon-Smiley opened tournament play on Dec. 11 against a very strong Australia Select Team. After a hard-fought contest, the Select Team pulled away in the fourth quarter, handing the Mustangs their first loss of the weekend.
