Apply to run for Floresville City Council

Floresville citizens have until 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, to sign up to run for Floresville City Council in the May 2, 2026, election. The filing period opens Wednesday, Jan. 14, for the roles of mayor and council places 1 and 2. These are currently held by Gloria Morales Cantu, Marissa Ximenez, and Mario Morones, respectively. Applications for a place on the May 2 ballot must be filed by Feb. 13. An application can be downloaded from the city’s website, https://www.floresvilletx.gov/government/elections/ or can be picked up at City Hall, 1120 D. St. in downtown Floresville. Who can run?
