Space heater fire destroys Falls City home

A home near Falls City is a complete loss, following a fire Dec. 15. Wilson County Fire Marshal Carl Fowner reported that crews from the Poth Volunteer Fire Department, Wilson County Emergency Services Districts 1, 3, 4, and 5, and the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fire in the 5100 block of C.R. 228, shortly after the call came in at 4:39 p.m. Deputies released several dogs from the home as they arrived, Fowner said, but no residents were home at the time. “It was a total loss,” Fowner told the Wilson County News.
