Tuesday afternoon crash kills Floresville man

A two-vehicle crash Dec. 16 between Floresville and Poth proved fatal for one individual. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Highway Patrol has confirmed that Darryl Royce Brown, 75, of Floresville, was killed when two vehicles collided at approximately 1 p.m. on U.S. 181 near C.R. 223 last Tuesday afternoon. According to DPS Sgt. Orlando De Luna Jr., the preliminary investigation indicates that a white 2006 Ford Explorer, driven by Brown, disregarded a stop sign on C.R. 223 and was struck by a green 2010 Chevrolet pickup traveling south on U.S. 181.
