Father Zarb establishes 'a new Eden' at Sacred Heart Church

This photo is from a postcard sent from Floresville to Pleasanton in 1906 that I found on eBay. The photo shows the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and rectory. After finding this photo, I was given a copy of a book, Wilson County History, that was compiled and published by Louise Stadler in 1990. Within this book, there was an article on Father Zarb’s Garden, together with articles on Father Peter Zarb and Sacred Heart Church in Floresville. The combination of the photo and these historical articles sparked this article. The information that follows is from the Wilson County History book....
