Mustangs make District statement win over Brahmas

Nixon-Smiley opened District play hosting the Stockdale Brahmas on Jan. 16, handling business in a big 58-22 win. From the opening tip, they were locked in and playing Mustang basketball — flying around on defense, competing on every possession, and bringing the energy that makes District play special. The defense was stifling all night and never let Stockdale score more than 7 points in any quarter. When they defend like that, it creates momentum for everything else they do.
