Floresville athletes show strength in powerlifting openers

The Floresville powerlifting program is hosting weekly meets in the Floresville Middle School gym. The Floresville Jaguar powerlifters kicked off their season by competing on Jan. 8, and they set the tone with strong performances across every weight class. In the 97 weight class, Alonna Rangel placed second and Desiree Benavides placed first. In the 114 weight class, Kendra Ramirez placed fourth, Maggie Farrell placed third, Emma Farrell placed second, and Payton Austin placed first.
