American Legion Post 539 invites scholarship, Boys State applications

American Legion Post 539 in St. Hedwig will provide a 00 scholarship to a deserving student from the East Central and La Vernia independent school districts. Prospective students may contact their respective school counselor for applications, which are due by 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13, in the counselor’s office. Additionally, Post 539 will provide an opportunity for two young men to attend Boys State, June 7-12, in Austin.
