Mustang powerlifters shine at Stockdale meet

The Nixon-Smiley powerlifting program had an outstanding showing at the Stockdale Powerlifting Meet Jan. 29, with the Mustang boys capturing the team Championship and both the boys’ and girls’ squads producing multiple topfive individual finishes across weight classes. The Mustang boys secured the team title with consistent performances throughout the lineup. Individual Champions for Nixon-Smiley included Jayven Robles, who won the 123-pound class with a total of 855 pounds; Khali Jantes, who dominated the 132-pound class with a 1,170-pound total; Eric Rodriguez, who claimed first place in the 165-pound class with a 1,465-pound total; and Jaylun Rodriguez, who took first...
