Joshua Brown members receive Yellow Rose Award

Present at the Riverhill Country Club on Jan. 30 as the Joshua D. Brown Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas (DRT) celebrated its 30th anniversary were 38 members and guests. The Chapter was chartered on Jan. 6, 1996, with 26 charter members. Today, we proudly recognize 167 members, one associate, and five affiliates. After the invocation by Chaplain Shelly Capozzi, President Missy Solbrig welcomed members and guests, including Carla Miller, the President General Elect of the DRT, who offered her congratulations and reported that the DRT currently has 7,000 members and 107 chapters, including one in Washington,...
