A woman in the East Central Independent School District (ISD) owes her life to the quick thinking and training of district police officers and staff. On Dec. 3, what began as a routine day at Heritage Middle School quickly turned into a life-or-death moment and a powerful reminder of how preparation, teamwork, and courage can save a life.
