Stockdale's Patrick Morales heads to State VASE contest

Stockdale High School is sending a student to the State VASE (Visual Arts Scholastic Event) contest. On Feb. 28, 19 students from Stockdale High School participated in the VASE Competition at East Central High School with 21 different art pieces. The event had exactly 1,000 entries from 83 teachers, 39 schools, and 18 school districts. Stockdale received 19 regional medals: •12 medals in Division 2 •Seven medals in Division 3. And Patrick Morales, in his first year competing in VASE, is advancing to the State contest with his sculpture, “Ocean Side.” He’s one of 84 students advancing to state. And...
