New Wilson County expo arena collapses

“An unexpected failure of the pre-engineered metal building during erection.” This is the description from SpawGlass President of the San Antonio region Jason Smith regarding the sudden collapse March 4 of the new county arena adjacent to the Wilson County Expo and Community Center in Floresville. The metal skeleton of the arena, including the roof supports, was in place last Wednesday afternoon, and a construction crew of approximately 15 people was on site, when the structure suddenly caved in.
