Floresville aims to tighten city policies, contracts

The Floresville City Council will nominate an audit review committee for its 2024-25 fiscal year audit, per suggestion by new City Manager Andrew Muñoz. Required by section 9.27 of the city charter, as Muñoz explained March 12, the council shall designate no fewer than three of its members to serve as an audit committee. However, the charter also states that council members are prohibited from appointing themselves to any committee or board, even if permitted under state law.
