Windmillers blow into Wilson County

Two Wilson County historical landmarks attracted visitors who were attending an international event March 12-14 in neighboring Atascosa County. About half of the participants in the 37th annual International Windmillers’ Trade Fair in Pleasanton took time away from their gathering March 13 to tour the Wilson County Jailhouse Museum in Floresville and the Dewees-Remschel House southwest of Poth. The Windmillers gather annually “from all over” to share their enthusiasm for windmills, which includes looking at old windmills, sharing photos, and swapping windmill parts.
