Mustangs look to bounce back after District opening loss

The Nixon-Smiley Mustang baseball team lost their District opener, falling to the Stockdale Brahmas as they started District play March 20. Despite the tough result, the Mustangs aim to quickly regroup and move forward as they prepare for another key District game. Nixon-Smiley shifted focus to March 24, as the Mustangs headed to Luling to face the Eagles, hoping to secure their first District win of the season. The Mustangs will host the Karnes City Badgers on Friday, March 27, at 7 p.m. wcnsports@wcn-online.com
