Poth police closes illegal game room

The Poth Police Department shut down an illegal game room March 19 inside an establishment in the 1000 block of N. Storts Street. Law-enforcement personnel were alerted to information regarding suspected gambling activity inside the establishment. Upon investigation, officers observed four gambling slot machines in a back room, along with an ATM cash-dispensing machine, which is prohibited under Texas law, according to the Poth Police Department.
