Family of Octavian 'Tave' Estrada creates scholarship in his memory

“We still have his room set up, with his barber chair and everything in there,” said Monica Montoya, sister of Octavian Estrada. “Tave,” as he was known by many members of the community, was a beloved barber in Floresville for many years before he was killed by a gunman outside a gas station in Elmendorf in March 2025.
