Alamo archaeology team discovers battle-era cannonball

The Alamo’s archaeology team has unearthed a fully intact, solid cannonball that can be traced to the Battle of the Alamo era. The discovery was made on March 5 — the day before the 190th anniversary of the Battle of the Alamo, which took place on March 6, 1836.
