Editor: Re: “Large political contributions generate unusually high returns,” March 18 The author has shown his hand. He wishes to increase the taxes of those he finds offensive by “substantial” amounts. Now he calls out corporations and wealthy individuals. I will point out that all progressive liberals call for higher corporate taxes, while refusing to believe that higher corporate taxes lead to higher consumer prices. To whom do these corporations pass on their higher taxes? The author also calls for higher taxes on individuals. Generally, these folks consider anyone who makes more money than them to be wealthy.
