Editor: Re: “County animal shelter presses onward amid change,” March 18 We want to be completely transparent regarding the debts we inherited when we took over this organization. We feel it is only fair to the community to show our dedication to overcoming these challenges and doing what is best for the animals in our care. The new board of Wilson County Adoption & Rescue Services, formerly the Wilson County No Kill Animal Shelter, was elected Jan. 18.
