CAST plans April 7 virtual event on child abuse

The Children’s Alliance of South Texas-A Child Advocacy Center (CASTCAC) invites community members ages 18 and up to a “For the L.O.V.E. of Our Children — Learning. Observing. Vigilance. Exposing Abuse,” virtual presentation on Tuesday, April 7, from 6:30-8 p.m. Taught by CAST-CAC Development Director Michelle King, the online meeting will teach valuable information on protecting children, including: •National and local child abuse statistics •What defines abuse •Types of abuse and the signs, symptoms, and behaviors indicating abuse •How perpetrators groom the victim and their non-offending parents •Online dangers our children face •Resources to protect the children and youth from...
