In this year of the 250th anniversary of the birth of the United States of America, Irene Hernandez Roberts shares information about an ancestor who supported the American War for Independence. Maria Ana Curbelo was one of 18 ranch owners in what would become Wilson County who contributed to cattle drives from 1779-83 to provide meat for Spanish and allied forces opposing the British along the Gulf of Mexico. Irene, who resides in Round Rock, serves on the Specialty Research Committee of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and specializes in researching Spanish Patriots of the American Revolution....
