Mustang tennis shines at District

The Nixon-Smiley Mustang varsity tennis team delivered a strong performance at the District meet, highlighted by Garet Gonzales, who took second place in Varsity Boys Singles and earned a spot in the Regional tournament. Gonzales worked his way through a tough bracket to finish as the runner-up, earning the title of Regional qualifier. He will represent the Mustangs at the Regional tennis tournament in Jourdanton, April 17-18, where he will face some of the best players in the region.
