Mustang golfers finish fifth at District

The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs competed well at the District golf meet in Victoria, finishing fifth as a team with a total score of 447. Leading the way for the Mustangs was Gavin Garcia, who posted a round of 108. Garet Gonzales followed closely with a 109, while Jax Wynne turned in a 113. Julian Amaya added a 117 for Nixon-Smiley, and Chris Mejia rounded out the team scoring with a 125. The Mustangs showed steady effort throughout the day while competing against strong District competition.
