The Stockdale Chamber of Commerce is looking for teams to enter its Just Cookin’ BBQ Cookoff fundraiser, set for Friday and Saturday, May 8-9, in the Stockdale City Park. Teams are encouraged to register for the competition, which also includes a Kids Que Pork Chop Cookoff. This is a Champions Barbecue Alliance sanctioned event. Categories include: •Kids Que Pork Chop Cookoff — Friday, 7:30 p.m., for ages 12 and under (free), and ages 13-17 •Friday night — Salsa cook-off, 7:30 p.m.; Margarita contest, 8 p.m.; and dessert, 8:30 p.m.; entry for each •Saturday — Jackpots: Dutch oven, 10 a.m.;...
