Elmendorf mayor resigns; council anticipates naming successor May 21

Elmendorf City Council members are expected to select a new mayor at their next regular meeting, scheduled for May 21. Michael Gonzales, who has served as mayor of Elmendorf since 2016, sent an email to City Administrator Cody Dailey April 13 to announce his resignation. Dailey shared the news with the council at its April 16 meeting. The resignation went into effect April 21.
