Heavy rainfall prompts road closures

Wilson County officials have closed several roads in response to heavy rainfall Friday, May 1. The following roads have been closed: •Zuehl Crossing on C.R. 440 •Scull Crossing on C.R. 347 •1400 block of C.R. 105 •C.R. 215, C.R. 219, and C.R. 224 at Kay Creek •5500 block of F.M. 1344. Also, the City of Floresville announced that First Street between Trail and Standish streets is partially closed. Wilson County Sheriff’s Office deputies are actively working alongside Wilson County Emergency Management personnel and county commissioners to ensure roadways that are prone to flooding are properly barricaded.
