1812 dedication ceremony at Concrete Cemetery

The David Crockett Chapter of the General Society of the War of 1812 will conduct a dedication ceremony for War of 1812 veteran Thomas Applewhite of La Vernia on Saturday, May 9, beginning at 11 a.m. The ceremony will take place in the Concrete Cemetery, 15405 F.M. 775 in La Vernia. Muskets will be discharged in salute, if weather permits. Some participants will wear period attire. The public is invited; bringing a chair is recommended.
